DownPaymentMap is published by 3rdVentures LLC (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at tyler@3rdventures.com.

DownPaymentMap is a free educational resource about down payment assistance programs. We read program facts from official sources and show each one with a link to its source and the date it was last verified. We also publish general articles for homebuyers and offer a search that shows which programs may cover a place.

• We are not a lender, mortgage broker or loan originator. We do not offer, make, arrange, broker or approve loans or grants, and we do not take loan applications.
• We do not decide whether you are eligible for any program, and we do not hold or reserve program funds.
• We do not provide real estate brokerage services through this site. Using the site does not create an agency, client or advisory relationship with us or with anyone named on it.
• We are not a government agency, and we are not affiliated with or endorsed by any program administrator named on the site.
• Nothing on the site is a loan offer, a commitment to lend, an eligibility determination, or financial, legal or tax advice.

We work to show program facts exactly as their official sources state them, but programs change, sources can be wrong, and we can make mistakes. A fact may be out of date between our checks. Always confirm program details with the official source, the program administrator or a participating lender before you rely on them or make a decision.

When you search an address or ZIP code, we match it to public government geography, such as counties and city limits, and show programs whose published coverage includes that area. A match is not a decision that a program applies to a property or to you. Geography data can be incomplete, a ZIP code can cross county lines, and programs have rules beyond location.

Articles on the blog are general information for homebuyers, not advice about your situation. They may be prepared with the help of automated tools. They can become out of date as rules change. Check the official source linked in an article before you rely on it.

The site links to official sources and other websites that other organizations publish and control. We are not responsible for their content, and a link is not an endorsement. The map and search use outside services, which are described in our Privacy Notice. Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors.

You agree not to:

• use the site for anything unlawful, or to discriminate against anyone in housing or lending;
• scrape, crawl or query the site or its search in a way that places an unreasonable load on it;
• try to get around any security or rate limit, or to reach parts of the site not meant to be public;
• present content from the site as your own, or suggest that we endorse you or your business.

We may limit or block access that breaks these terms.

The site’s design, text, articles and graphics belong to 3rdVentures LLC or its licensors. Program facts belong to their original sources. You may read, print and share pages for your own non-commercial use, with a link back to the page. Any other use needs our written permission.

If you think a fact on the site is wrong, use “Report a mistake” on the program’s page, or email us. A report is checked against the official source before we change anything. We may not be able to reply to every report. Please do not send personal financial information, and do not use the form for anything other than reporting a mistake.

The site is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability and non-infringement. We do not promise that the site will always be available or free of errors.

To the fullest extent the law allows, 3rdVentures LLC and its members, managers, employees and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any lost profits, lost opportunities or loss of data, arising from your use of or reliance on the site, even if we were told they were possible. Our total liability for any claim about the site is limited to one hundred U.S. dollars ($100). Some laws do not allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

You agree to cover 3rdVentures LLC’s reasonable losses and costs, including reasonable legal fees, from any claim that arises because you broke these terms or misused the site.

North Carolina law governs these terms, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute about the site or these terms will be decided in the state or federal courts located in North Carolina, and you and we agree to their jurisdiction.

We may change these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and using the site after a change means you accept it. If any part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a term is not a waiver of it. These terms, with the Privacy Notice and Disclaimer, are the whole agreement between you and us about the site.
